Miral Welfare Foundation, Led the Invitation Training Session for the Officials of Vietnam Vin Long’s Welfare for Persons with Disabilities
From May 19(MON) to May 24(SAT), Miral Welfare Foundation invited officials of Vin Long’s welfare center for persons with disabilities of Vietnam to Korea and proceeded the on-site training.
This training was held for the purpose of strengthening the conduct capability of Vietnam’s welfare projects for persons with disabilities and promoting development of welfare for persons with disabilities in Vietnam, by offering them to visit the advanced those of in Korea.
Participated officials in the training session who came from The Vinh Long Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, The Vinh Long Social Work Center, Center for Convalescence and Rehabilitation, Huynh Kim Pung Kindergarten and The Ving Long union of Friendship Organizations looked around the domestic organizations and facilities for persons with disabilities. In the Korea-Vietnam meeting about welfare for persons with disabilities, they sought the right model of the welfare that can be applied in Vietnam.
On the last day of invitation training session, the Vietnamese officials had time for cultural exchange by experiencing Korean traditional culture and promoted friendship of participated officials at the Korean Folk Village. The officials of Vietnam said that they particularly enjoyed the folk performances such as martial art on horseback and traditional wedding.
The head of the training session, Ms. LANH, delivered her impressions : “for now, it is difficult to apply the same program in Vietnam because of the difference between the circumstances of Korea and Vietnam. But, it was very helpful to learn the building processes of systems of Korean welfare center for persons with disabilities and the practical operation know-hows through this invitation training session program.”
We expect that this invitation training session for the officials of Vietnam Vin Long’s welfare for persons with disabilities will bring an opportunity for development of welfare for persons with disabilities in both two countries.
